Conferences with Content

Since 1997, I've had the great pleasure of working with Thunder Lizard Productions, producers of conferences on numerous Web- and design-related topics. I serve as the Conference Chair for several of Thunder Lizard's conferences, including Web Design World, Macromedia Web World, and the Dreamweaver Conference.

As Conference Chair, I'm largely responsible for putting together the event's editorial coverage: determining the topics we cover, finding and working with great speakers to develop sessions and handouts, and selecting reprints for the multi-hundred-page binders that all attendees receive.

I also speak at our events, delivering sessions on general Web topics as well as my specialities: streaming media, RealNetworks RealSystem G2, SMIL, and Apple's QuickTime.

Our next event is Web Design World in Boston, November 18-21. We're doing special focus days on Web standards, accessibility, usability, Flash MX, and much more. Check out the event's Web page for full details, and join me in Boston in November!

Other Speaking and Teaching Endeavors

I also speak at other industry events and teach at colleges and other institutions. I've delievered sessions at many Macworld Expos as well as at Internet World, CorelWORLD, and the Los Angeles Macintosh User Group's MacFair. At the CorelWORLD 1999 event, I delivered a full-day tutorial called "Top Ten Ways to Improve Your Web Site." Some post-event attendee comments included: "He really knows his stuff. Awesome! Super job, excellent speaker, extremely knowledgeable."
